How does the Learning Analytics Suite fit into your software ecosystem?

In our most recent release, we formally launched our Canvas integration and expanded support for Schoolbox environments, which had many schools asking: how does the Learning Analytics Suite fit into a school's software ecosystem? Below is a summary of how the Learning Analytics Suite integrates with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and School Management Systems (SMS).

Integrating with your LMS

The Learning Analytics Suite can pull live student and subject data directly from your Learning Management System, such as Schoolbox or Canvas, and your School Management System, like TASS or Synergetic.

It then aggregates, analyses, and displays this data in a consumable and actionable format for staff, students and parents.

Analysing data from
your LMS

Connecting directly to your LMS means that the Learning Analytics Suite can pull results in real-time, with analysis done on the most relevant, up-to-date data.

The Learning Analytics Suite can also pull individual assessment item results from your LMS, and use these to predict end-of-semester results for students. This helps provide students with meaningful feedback and insights into their individual performance, as results are calculated and shown throughout the semester, rather than just end-of-semester reports.

This gives students the opportunity to monitor their progress and make any changes needed to achieve their goals. Similarly, parents and teachers can stay aware of each student’s academic journey, and identify any trends – whether to celebrate positive growth, or investigate potentially negative movement before it impacts final results.

Closing the loop

In addition to analysis, the Learning Analytics Suite can also help make the flow of data across your school more efficient. Acting as a bridge between systems, the suite can draw academic result data from Canvas or Schoolbox and push it back into various School Management Systems.

Removing the need to enter data in multiple systems, this process saves time for teaching and learning staff and improves the accuracy and efficiency of data transfer between systems.
